In my recent post about the AirPods connection bug and phone calls, I believe Apple’s automatic AirPods transition from devices detects Seam as a genuine audio output application. This forces it to connect immediately.
I’ve noticed this behaviour ever since I started reopening my laptop from sleep mode. It instantly connects my AirPods straight away even though I’m listening to music on my iPhone.
To Recreate this issue:
Ensure your mac is “asleep”
Play some music on your iphone/ipad or other devices other than the Mac with Seam.
Open your mac and it will connect it straightaway.
